• Make catnip bags for shelter use and for sale to benefit our kitties. We provide fabric and catnip. Requires one person who can operate a sewing machine and several people to cut fabric, press with iron, and fill with catnip. These are our best-selling items and raise hundreds of dollars for our cats.
• Carrier sanitizing project. During warm weather, the cat carriers we use for rescues and for transporting animals being spayed/neutered need to be dis-assembled, soaked in a sanitizing solution, rinsed, dried and re-assembled. Best done outside. Important to prevent the spread of diseases!

Run a Collection Drive

Run a collection drive for items needed at our shelter. We can pick up the items or students can deliver to our shelter and receive a tour and meet our cats.

Organize a Fundraiser

• Organize a bake sale or car wash to benefit Cozy Cat Cottage. We can bring cats or kittens to the event.
• Organize a sign-up drive for our Kroger Cares fundraiser. Distribute information and instructions to designate Cozy Cat Cottage as a charity to receive donations from Kroger Co. based on grocery purchases by participants. No cost to participants. Online signup. This program raises about $6,000 a year for Cozy Cat Cottage from the Kroger Co. Our goal is to double that amount. We will provide ideas and sample flyers.

Conduct an Advocacy/ Awareness Campaign

Make the community aware of our free or low-cost spay/neuter program and low-cost vaccination and heath care programs open to the public. Make posters, pass out flyers to inform others about our organization’s mission and the importance of spaying/neutering pets and pet health.
