What region or area do you provide services in?

Nature Conservancy has dedicated and diverse staff, including scientists, in all 50 states and more than 35 countries. In Ohio we target the Lake Erie region, certain riverbed regions throughout the state, and the Appalachian Foothills.

How and when did the organization get started?

Nature Conservancy was founded in 1951 and a local chapter in Ohio was founded in 1958.

How many employees do you have?

The Nature Conservancy has a dedicated staff of scientists and managers around the globe. In Ohio, The Nature Conservancy operates a small staff to manage local conservation projects.

How many volunteers does your organization have? 

Each year The Nature Conservancy of Ohio utilizes hundreds of volunteers to help with clean-up and maintenance at targeted conservation sites, as well as other tasks.
