Shared Power Network
Background
What region or area do you provide services in?
Shared Power Network is located in the Clintonville neighborhood of Columbus. Our work will span the entire state.
How and when did the organization get started?
Shared Power Network started in 2019 when Solarvision LLC employees, Jake and Greg Kuss, wanted to create a solar energy nonprofit to give back to the Ohio community. Through their expertise in the for-profit solar development world, the Kusses knew local solar installers, financiers and advocates to support Shared Power Network. We kicked off in mid-2019 with a grant from The Columbus Foundation to support organization development, partner outreach and process optimization.
How many employees do you have?
We have one full-time employee with a three-person (and growing) board of directors.
How many volunteers does your organization use on an annual basis?
So far, we have not officially utilized any volunteers. However, we have been in contact with interested students and professionals to see how they might be able to use their time to help Shared Power Network.
