How and when did the organization get started?

The National Veterans Memorial and Museum provides exceptional experiences to all ages and backgrounds. When we opened our doors in 2018, we introduced guests around the country to a new, experiential way of learning and understanding the journey of the American Veteran from all branches and eras of service. Senator John Glenn, Colonel, USMC (Ret.) inspired the Memorial and Museum’s creation because he saw the need to preserve the intimate memories, personal belongings and painful losses of our nation’s Veterans.
