What region or area do you provide services in?

Community Kitchen serves any neighborhoods but mostly central, near east side and near south side of Columbus.

How and when did the organization get started?

Community Kitchen soup kitchen began in 1979 as an outreach and partnership with the business community and Holy Rosary St. John’s Church. In 1985, Community Kitchen became it’s own separate non-profit. We have operated at the current site since 1985.  In 2011 we expanded to a second site. Services have also expanded from a lunch meal six days a week to a full breakfast meal and a weekly family dinner.

We have over 500 volunteers in a year.
