What region or area do you provide services in?
Children’s Hunger Alliance provides services throughout Ohio. Children’s Hunger Alliance directly feeds children, increases access to nutritious food, and educates children about healthy food choices and physical activity. The organization has programs and services that touch communities in every county in Ohio.
How and when did the organization get started?
Children’s Hunger Alliance was founded in 1970. The organization started with one volunteer, a $2,000 grant, and office equipment that was donated by the YMCA.
Today, Children’s Hunger Alliance has regional offices in Cincinnati, Cleveland, Dayton, Akron, and Toledo and is headquartered in Columbus. Its programs and services touch communities in all counties in Ohio.

How many volunteers does your organization have?
In 2014, Children’s Hunger Alliance had more than 100 corporations, organizations, universities, and school districts provide more than 1,000 volunteers. This amounted to more than 15,000 hours of service to children participating in Children’s Hunger Alliance programs.
