Erase the Space

About

How They Help

How do your programs or services help the community?

Erase the Space helps the community by bringing students and teachers from different schools and backgrounds together to learn from each other, share their stories, and build understanding. Through writing, art, and conversations, young people connect across divides, break down stereotypes, and create projects that show the value of working together. This helps make the community stronger, more united, and more welcoming for everyone.

Program Descriptions

Classroom Exchanges – students from different schools partner to write, share, and respond to each other’s stories.

Community Projects – groups create art, performances, or public displays that show what they’ve learned and share it with the wider community.

Teacher Training & Support – helping teachers design lessons that build empathy, understanding, and strong communication skills.

Student Leadership – giving young people chances to lead discussions, present their work, and guide projects that matter to them.

How many volunteers does your organization use?

We have 5 very regular volunteers and during exchanges we get more.
