What is your organizations mission statement?

The mission of 2nd & 7 is to promote reading by providing free books and positive role models to kids in need while encouraging young athletes of the community to pay it forward.

What population do you serve?

For our Tackling Illiteracy program, we target 2nd graders. With the Columbus Kids’ Book Bank, we target K-6. Any teachers, schools or librarians can reach out for new or gently used books.

How many do you serve in a year?

More than 20,000 elementary children are severed in our Tackling Illiteracy program in a typical school year! We have given away over 15,000 books in 2023 at the Columbus Kids’ Book Bank!
