Organize your own way to raise money for the Military Veteran Resource Center.  Hold a bake sale, rummage sale or other event to raise funds for the MVRC.

Run a Collection Drive


Coordinate a drive among friends, family or classmates to collect and donate items needed for our wishlist.

Conduct a Social Media Advocacy/ Awareness Campaign


Get the word out on Twitter or Instagram about the good work the MVRC is doing.   Or notify your followers of upcoming fundraising events and job fairs.

What is your organization’s mission statement?


We help Veterans who have served honorably access the resources they need to become self-reliant in managing their career and life decisions.

What population do you serve? 


We serve all Military Veterans within Ohio who may need assistance with job placement, food & housing, or other specialized needs.


How many do you serve in a year? 


Military Veterans Resource Center helps thousands of Ohio’s Veterans each year with various services including food assistance, career assistance, and other services.

What region or area do you provide services in?


We have our main location in Columbus, Ohio, and four additional offices located throughout Ohio.

How and when did the organization get started? 


The Military Veterans Resource Center began primarily as a career and job placement service to the Veterans of Central Ohio.  Over time the service offerings have grown to include a range of support including food and housing assistance.


How many employees do you have? 


We have 5 administrators and 6 people who serve on the Board of Directors.

We have thousands of volunteers and support organizations who help us provide job placement, food and housing assistance, as well as other services.

How do your programs or services help the community?


Through our services we are able to decrease rates of homelessness, hunger and other afflictions of Ohio Veterans.

Program Descriptions 

Career Services: We offer services to Veterans who are unemployed, underemployed or looking for a job change. This includes training, certification, and any other services that will assist the Veteran.

Skills Training: We help Veterans get the education, training, and certifications they need to get better jobs or careers.   This includes help with everything from tutoring to financial assistance.

Transportation Services: We provide general transportation services to any Veteran who may need assistance getting from place to place.

Food Services: We partner with Mid-Ohio Food Bank to offer emergency and sustained food assistance as needed to our Military Vets.

Health Services: We help our Veterans identify and locate the health services they need.

Housing Services: We provide a range of assistance to Veterans in need of housing, including location, financial assistance, and other services.

Legal Services: We help connect our Veterans with legal assistance whenever needed.
